Your signature

A signature is the sign-off added to the bottom of messages you send. Open Account → Mail and find Signature. You can set two:

  • New message — used when you start a fresh conversation.
  • Replies — used when you reply. Leave this empty and Doota uses your new-message signature on replies too.

If you have more than one address, each gets its own signature. Changes show an Unsaved marker until you save.

The contact card

Tap a sender’s name or avatar at the top of a conversation to open their contact card — a quick who’s-this without leaving your mail. It shows:

  • their name, address, and a Verified badge when the message passed sender authentication (see Is this really from them?)
  • a little history — when you first saw them, how many messages, and when you last replied
  • any details you’ve saved — phone, website, email, handle
  • other people “Also at” the same company, when Doota knows them
  • a Compose button to start a new message to them

Details from their signature

When someone’s signature includes a phone number or website, Doota can pull it out and offer it as a suggestion“Suggested from their signature.” Tap Accept to keep a suggestion on their card, or ignore it. Nothing is saved until you accept it, and the reading happens on your side — Doota isn’t building a directory behind your back.
