Grammar check

As you write, Doota catches spelling and grammar slips — entirely on your device, so your draft never leaves your computer to be checked.

For humans

As you write a message, Doota quietly checks your spelling and grammar and underlines anything worth a second look:

  • a red wavy underline for a likely spelling slip
  • an amber wavy underline for a grammar or punctuation nudge

Click (or tap) an underline to see the issue and up to a few fixes — pick one and Doota swaps it in (with a quick green flash so you can see what changed). Don’t agree? Ignore it and keep typing; nothing changes unless you choose a fix.

The check is always on while you’re writing — there’s no switch to turn it off. It’s unobtrusive, though: it only underlines, and acts only when you pick a fix.

A small spell-check pill in the composer toolbar shows the state at a glance: a checkmark when you’re clean, or a count when there are things to look at. Hover it and it tells you the check runs on-device.
