Notifications

Get a push when new mail arrives — even with the app closed — and keep an in-app list of what needs your attention.

Doota can alert you two ways: a push notification on your device, and an in-app list behind the bell. Both are optional.

Push notifications

Open Account → Notifications and turn on Push notifications. Your browser asks permission once; allow it and you’ll get a push when new mail arrives, even with the app closed.

Push is per device — turn it on for each browser or phone you want alerts on.

The bell

The bell in the top bar keeps a running list of things that need you, with a badge for how many are unread. It gathers:

  • New mail — a message arrived
  • Assigned to you — a teammate handed you a conversation on a shared inbox
  • New note / You were mentioned — activity on an internal note
  • Send failed — a message you sent couldn’t be delivered
  • Inbound routing detached — a domain problem stopping mail (admins act on this)

Open the bell and hit Mark all read to clear the count. The bell list is shared across your devices, so reading it on your laptop clears it on your phone too — unlike push, which is per device (dismissing a push on your phone doesn’t touch your laptop).
